I'm not saying it was a bad game, just like Spirits Within wasn't necessarily a bad movie (I honestly can't remember enough of it.) But in both cases the title set expectations that weren't met for a lot of people.

Considering Spirits Within nearly bankrupted SE at the time yeah I'd say it was a huge flop. Sony actually tried to sue them over it because they lost a tonne of money as well from promoting it.


FFTA was OK @ best. Enjoyable, but nothing on the level of the original title. And I don't get that last comment... I hate Lucas, so how can I be his bitch? oO

To be fair Avatar and Spirits Within are very similar films. Avatar just got a good director so the acting wasn't horrible while Spirits Within came about while direction in animated films was still not all that brilliant across the globe.
