Nope. I hate to sound negative (Haha who am I kidding) but I don't want anything to even remotely remind me of XI. Also, in that letter J9, the Alpha ends the 11th? Is that when the beta starts?

With all the races coming straight out of XI I seriously doubt you'll be able to do that.

Nov 11 is Live Letter from Producer and maybe a trailer. Hey, Ray Ray! FFXIV's races are different from FFXI, mew. Ya they have humans, but what FF doesn't? Elvaans and Elezens have different tribes and lore. Taru Taru and Lalafell are like comparing Smurfs with Care Bears. Mithra and Miquo'te have different face, ear and tail traits. Galka and Roegadyn are furthest from reach other in similarities. Roegadyn have proportion differences, don't have tails, and they have two genders.

INSTEAD, i'll politely point out that you should read that post not as the creator of said post, but as someone else. You defeat yourself by making direct comparisions the different races, lol. If they aren't the "same" (and all of your examples are basically comparing the graphics capabilites of a computer from 2002 to a computer from 2012) how can you directly compare them??????

people have different definitions of "same". Yes, FFXIV races adopt the basic nature of the FFXI races, they can even be called FFXI transfer races that are modified, but the similiarities stop there. Especially Lalafell and Roegadyn are physically DIFFERENT species/races compared to their FFXI counterparts, mew. They are similiar but not exactly the same. Oranges and Peaches are fruit, but they are different fruit. Cats, Tigers and Lions are three different things. Wolves and Foxes are two different things. Panda bears and Polar bears are two different things. Sharks and Dolphins are two different things. I dunno how you people say they are the same, even SE knows Lalafell and Roegadyn are not the exact same thing to their FFXI counterparts, mew. "The same races but modified" is barely scratching the surface.
