Yea, that's cool, go ahead and make up your own captions.

So absolutely no new information is communicated whatsoever. Why does this need a new thread?

Also is that interface going to be scalable or customisable because it's taking up a massive amount of room and the action bars block a lot of the view.

It's just screens from the recent letter that was put out today... and of course, J9 being J9, "it" left that important aspect out.

i'd suggest we make an FFXIV new sticky but I don't think that j9 would even think of posting in there.

those aren't my captions, mew. I just found and swiped the most throughough post about the subject going on in various communities. I was just going to only post the lodestone link, but copy and pasting other people's posts that have multiple direct links to the images, along with the main link, is better, mew.

you are waaay sensitive, Firewind, mew. It still counts as brand new information dealing with a more specific subject (internal alpha media).

And a new topic is easier to draw attention on the latest news, instead of a thread packed with various news and subjects that no sane person would shovel through , mew.

That last screen shot looked Photoshopped. Seriously ... what aspect/resolution is that? 18:5? WTF?

He said someone panned widescreen. Is this an Nvidia or ATI control panel function or we getting trolled here?

Going by the ratio it looks like a 3 monitor setup and done like a panoramic picture.

Hmmm ... I can see the benefits of this in a raid situation as a healer (you don't need to constantly pan your camera left and right) ... wonder if something like this could be game breaking in PvP or similar ...

Most of the time it doesn't increase your field of view, it just means you can more easily play with the game fully zoomed out a little easier.

And as a healer in a lot of MMOs, I prefer to have a one screen setup because having the HP bars and view on the same screen saves a ton of time and saves me from having to look left or right.

True ... but as a healer myself, there are situations in which you need to be able to keep an eye out for changing events or boss attack patterns and (historically) healers tend to be *that* person to call it out in raid (outside of healing, buffing and debuffing, you generally don't do anything constantly)
