I finally got what Mal was talking about. Apparently it's really random and I wonder if it's completely possible to not get this at all (before 2.0) I'll throw up a vidcap later.

It's random but the way it will only trigger is if you choose the "log out" or "exit game" from the bed (Go to the inn, get inside your room and "target" your bed for options) When you next log in to your character, you'll have a random chance of triggering this scene.Originally posted by Etra View Post

I really should do more of the main quest. I've just gotten too lazy with FFXIV and leasious dragged me back to WoW at about the same time I decided to give FFXIV another go (I enjoy it now and the changes to the game make me want to play it again, but I'm tempted to wait until 2.0), so I've been more busy with that XDRahal Gerrant - Balmung - 188 DRK

Mal and I were discussing this a couple of months ago (Mal experienced it then and it took me this long, multiple log-ins, before getting it myself) Since it was added in with the changes to the inn, I'm assuming it's related to content then, or maybe tied to the Hamlet content.
