    So ... are these HNMs? The Japanese forum has the Behemoth (I mean, c'mon, I knew it from day 1 and each day is just a confirmation) The other 3 I'm still not entirely sure (I think the German forum has Roc? French Vtra?) I find it weird that they're going to show concept art in such an ambiguous way and with knowledge that these things may not even appear in the final version. Unless they plan to do this bi-weekly and eventually adding in more in the way to get people excited.

    I don't know ... maybe someone with more information can chime in.

    Most probably HNMs or "raid" related monsters. While I haven't been playing the game lately (really just waiting for 2.0, but still paying for it until then), keeping an eye out on this sort of stuff. My best guess is just HNM, from past promises.

        I don't think that's Vtra, French is looking a suspiciously like Ultima Weapon from FF7/8. German looks like a cocatrice of some kind, and I can't tell wtf ours is though I'm sure I've seen it before.

          Yeah I was right, it's Ultimate Weapon. They put up some cool wallpapers today, the JP one looks like Doom Wall o. O ?

            Those are just wallpapers awarded to those that revealed the concept art. The concept art for the Japanese was clearly Behemoth. The German one was based off Simurgh/Roc (you have to take into account the ability for them to really do wonders with the texture and adding in those details not possible in FFXI) I would hope they're not going to the same old 21-24 or 60-72 hour respawn, everyone-bot-your-claim stupidity in FFXI.

              Didn't they already confirm they are going to basically make all dungeons instanced for 2.0? Now I'm sure there will be open world HNMs, but I'm willing to bet they won't be as stupid with them as they were with XI.

              And yea they're posters, but why would they draw that up just for shits & giggles? I for one hope to see both of them in-game eventually.

                It's so that people can have something to download and put up as wallpaper. It's really popular in Japan (wallpapers for anime, products, games) Like UCC has this licensed deal with Gainax for Evangelion promotion (er, other way around I guess) and you could probably download those wallpapers off UCC site ...

                  I'm still thinking SE plans to add those mobs. Doom Wall would be a hilarious twist on a BCNM.

                    As soon as they fix camera (ceiling-floor) issues, I'll be all for it. Hard enough already having to fight mobs knock-back-ing you to a sheer cliff wall and not being able to not look retarded trying to unlock targetting and getting some distance to get proper camera views, especially if you're trying to get out of cone attacks, shit puddles and or to gain LOS.
