Re: Howling Eye (Hard) new gear rewards video! And New Grand Company Gear!

I don't understand why people label "easy" and "hard" for these dungeons. They're not even of the same level. It's not like a WoW dungeon where there is normal and heroic. I wish they would stick to something like Ifrit-25 and Ifrit-50 instead (i25, i50 for you acronymics), considering a lot of new players are already having a hard time finding their way around the game, the last thing I need is to confuse them any further.

but um its not hard to figure out that easy can be done at a lower level than hard, mew. Even beginners can know what levels they are for in a matter of seconds just asking and receiving the answer.

        J9-

You don't even have an account and play the game, so not sure why you're even commenting. Ifrit has 25 and 50 and Garuda will be 40 and 50. No one will know the difference if it is just easy and hard. Also, a lot of new players ask if they can do Ifrit "easy" when they aren't even 25 yet, because they just "heard" that it can be done at a lower level. So, no, it's not that simple as you have stated. They can do a better job.

FFXI Online has many things that people ask about, so it's no different from people in this just asking and receiving an answer and understanding. They don't need to label everything how you prefer them to. It becomes common knowledge as people who know the information share that information with those that don't know. It's really not that difference from leveling spots where people may ask what spots are best for such and such level, people shouldn't expect some visible number to float over a zone's area so they instantly know what levels that zone is catered to and stuff.

Must gear now have their level requirements as a part of their name so people don't get "confused"? Must dungeons have a number written in the entrance that says "for levels ___ and up?" now??

People can learn the information one way or another anyways. People that have that knowledge just have to be nice enough to share that information instead of directing people to some wiki or expect SE to do a "better job".

The fact you know Ifrit has 25 and 50 and Garuda will be 40 and 50 proves that it's common knowledge that people that don't know can discover by interacting with the community and stuff! It's just a simple as just asking level 50's and stuff and people would generally know or know someone that would know. So it's really not so complicated to learn about.

This is by far the best retort J9 has ever had in the DiV forums... And... I agree...

It can be done in the tab where they have dungeon timers. Just like they have it in WoW. It obviously sounds like you don't play MMO games much.

Again, if you don't play the game and don't know what is going on, you shouldn't comment. FYI SE added "optimal" and "restricted" in the gear information. Sounds like you need to do your homework.

And yet you were one of the vocal group of players that were against PC players in FFXI that wanted Alt-Tab to be able to get information from websites (cough*likeFFXIonline*cough) saying that it was unfair.

The fact that I know it doesn't mean anything. I could know Spanish and you don't know it; does that mean you need to know it to get around in life? I really don't know what you're trying to drive at, but you gotta try harder than this.

                *ehem*

More like XIV is the only game that bumps everything in my computer to 100% capacity full time all the time making it overheat like crazy. My video cards were already over 90°C by the time I closed the damn thing and the only thing I did was moving from Gridania to a camp for a leve. No other game taxes my system like that and delivers such awful performance. Heck I can run any other game at completely maxed settings in 3D without problems but can't even turn 2x AA on XIV or I get extremely bad performance.

My system ranked over 5000 on the benchmark, which apparently is barely ok.

No, no, no... and I thought Spanish was a dialect of the Boricua... I said, "You don't have a big fan for that dog?" In layman's terms, "You don't have a large enough fan to cool down your over heating computer? My friend?"

It has long been mangled into either Spanglish or an unintelligible "street" dialect depending on your level of education.

Why would you call a video card a dog anyways? Are CPUs cats? Do you call your PC a zoo?
