    ://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/42275

    * The following feature, scheduled for patch 1.22, is in development and subject to change.
    • Patch 1.22 will introduce armoires—storage cabinets that can be used to store untradable gear and other similar items. Armoires will be placed in the inns rooms of each city-state, and players will be able to store and reclaim their prized possessions at their leisure. The following kinds of items will be made storable:
      • Job-exclusive gear
      • Seasonal event gear
      • Achievement reward gear
      • Bonus items (Garlond goggles, onion helm, Asuran armguards, Hermes' shoes)
        * There are certain exceptions.

While armoires will be free to use, the following conditions apply:
      • Item condition must be 100%
      • Only one of a particular item can be stored.
      • Storing an item resets its spiritbond.

Armoires are shared across all three city-states; items stored at one location can be reclaimed at another.

And just like that, this thing goes from "Oh, cool" to "meh" with the restrictions.

That might have been funny if you'd at least gotten it right

You mean "PS3 Limitations" and yes people are throwing that around on the official forums lol.

I have to get someone to repair the item for me, AND it resets spiritbond? I'll just carry around my 11 lances, thank you very much.

Having a place to dump my horrible starting gear that is only really good for Roleplaying in or using as town gear is something I really like but I can see why high level players would be upset. I take it that spiritbond gives you some sort of bonus?

            Re: [dev1357] The Armoire

I actually like this, with or without the restrictions. Consider the fact that most of the event rewards are (a) never used (b) mostly low level and the restrictions are a non-issue. Now, this may not appeal to other players, but for me, having more inventory slots freed up means I have more slots available for stuff that I can actually use.

What I can use it for:

            1. Swimsuits (4 sets of 2 pieces each)
            2. Christmas Set
            3. New Year's Helms (4)
            4. Easter Eggs/Rings (I have 9)

And as they add more events and more event rewards, you are just going to accumulate that much more.

Now, let's be honest, if you are talking about non-event items, when you pass (assuming we leave out level 50 items) that level and that weapon might be only for that one class, aren't you planning to repair/resell or just break it down into a materia? I honestly don't think this is an issue for this example given.

Add in 2.0 and level cap lifting, then the level 50 items are going to be tossed out of your inventory as well. Currently in the game, weapons are assigned to specific classes, and jobs don't count (because switching to a job will automatically assume the current level of the "main class" so this becomes a non-issue)

Not sure why ppl are throwing a hissy fit with regards to repair. Some players have a lot of 50 combat classes. They should take the time to take up crafting if they are "bored".

I too don't quite understand the exact issue with loss of Spirit Bond, seems to me that people are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Repair condition is inconvenient I will give people that, but as a player who can repair his own gear I don't really care about that either.
