Yep noticed this when I tried to login before work.

I will be online tonight though after I have got back from work looking for you guys, whoever may be on. Assuming my character didn't disintegrate during the server merge. >.<

I remember an Everquest world server merge that was supposed to take 9 hours and took 2 days. I wouldn't stay sitting at your PC hoping this is going to finish any time soon.

For those not familiar with PDT thats 1pm GMT, 2pm CET I think.

Gonna play XIII-2 ... at least I have backup plans.

IIRC the last patch of The Burning Crusades (World of Warcraft) brought down the servers and pushed a 9 hour maintenance into a 21 hour standstill. I agree with Dux, go to bed or find something else to do.

Coming from someone who used to play a game that went down for an hour every day (not even kidding; one hour scheduled server restart/maintenence EVERY SINGLE DAY), I really don't understand why people who play other games get so upset when they go down for a bit. I mean, shit, even when I didn't have a life, I had more going on in my life than JUST FFXI.

Play another game, listen to some music, watch some TV, read a book, browse some internet; any of these could occupy the time you'd otherwise be waiting, and will make you much happier than bitching on forums. And you don't even have to improve yourself or leave the house, you pathetic freak!

Well it is better to have them perfect what ever is wrong lest not remember the first release.... dark times
