    I appreciate them streamlining the recipes but I think they're over reacting a bit. For one thing, inventory is still an issue, not because of the past reasons (i.e., numerous iterations of HQ per item) but because these recipes produce way too much of these finished items. There is no secondary option for these finished items (i.e., Auction House) and therefore the producer is stuck with these products piling up in his inventory. Either they add a commodities and exchange system in which players can leverage these goods (The Guild system has something in place, but is too narrowly defined and doesn't alleviate the issue) or actively encourage the trade (which is hard to do right now due to the population issues)

      I'm hoping that our personal areas will alleviate the inventory woes, especially since in 2.0 we are going back down to 100 instead of 200 slots and only 1 retainer by default. I have a LOT of shit I'm carrying right now between myself & my retainers that I need to liquify. It's about 60% crafting materials, 37% gear and maybe 1~3% potions/misc.

        Currently characters are at 200 inventory slots while retainers are at 150, right? Unless I'm missing something. That means 500 slots per character that you own. I currently have 3 characters with 6 retainers total or 1,500 slots. I'm currently at around 90% filled to capacity. A lot of it was pre-patch multiple HQ of items. I loath to just toss them out and can't use them quite yet (and they are rare commodities, like enamel)

        I thought of other solutions that SE could implement, like a tab for fish baits/lures, among other things. The crystals/shards tab was the inspiration for the thought and they could expand on this with minimum impact on system performance (because the tabs would be treated as compartmentalized memory states)

          Just NPC your stuff... its not like gil is hard to get anyway.

              Sorry to sound mean but....

              Rather than using money paid by the tax payers to look up video game information, wait till you get home, or at a library to do this. Use what that place is meant to be.

                  Speaking of this. I tried to liquify a lot of my pre-patch stuff to NPCs. I found that the lag time of selling to an NPC was torturous. I run a top notch rig too... what can I do to make that go faster? That and buying from the item search function and exchanging with my retainers. All of these things produce abysmal lag times and it takes me damn near a half hour to fully dumpy all of my stuff from my main. I shutter to think of the time investment it would be to do what Aeni would need to for 1500 pieces.

                  Tell me there's a simple fix to this. Someone please...

                        Easy for you to say -- see below for Yyg's response. Yes, gil isn't hard to get, but the stuff I have are worth millions total. Wanna know my best estimation? Roughly 60 million last I checked.

                        That's not your end ... it's on SE's end. Part of the problem with an expanded inventory and storage system is that it eats up system resources to accurately allocate and keep track of every single transaction. That's not hyperbole when you think about the fact that if it's bad now, imagine how much more horrible it would be if the servers were full to capacity.
