Even fighting Leve mobs that are higher level than I am I still get less EXP than I would for a standard mob at my own level or even a few lower - and that's with GA on. Leve mobs have more HP than regular ones too...

What the heck are you fighting. o_O

Leve mobs are easier than regular mobs even when scaled up. Not to mention since they are guaranteed to spawn at the lvl you set you can make a chain 5 or two per leve, plus guardian's, plus completion xp. Like I said before, at lvl 20+ish I can get a level doing 8 leves (2 runs) even without Guardian's.

PS > Unless xp dramatically changes when you are above lvl 30.

nope, xp doesnt dramatically change when you hit 30, Mal's doing something wrong or not calculating xp correctly. I'm doing them on my 38 gla. I'm doing nophica + 6 levels with guardians, so I'm fighting level 36 mobs, gettting 150-200 xp per mob and 3k xp for completion.

I like that in XIV I can get chain 5 on T+ mobs and get a ton of xp in the process. To play it safe I just make mobs up to 3 lvls higher and kill away.


In XI there's no chance in hell I could've ever done that on my own. <_<;

My suggestion: Level 30 leves (just make them *** so you get mobs lvl 36) and then chaining away.

Protect, Cure and Rampart are your friends, although I doubt you aren't using those already. <_<;

I know it's a pain, but at least get Protect on CNJ. And Rampart is lvl 6 or something so you can get it by leveling GLA in less than half an hour.

But at least you already have Second Wind, which is nicer than Cure but also has a big recast, just like Necro on THM.

I am going to be taking GLD to level up today when I log on. As for the other stuff... I am waiting to level my mages. I just wanted the cure. lol.

But then, I also want to see what BRD, and PLD bring to the table when they are introduced.

I'm still only in the 20's and that's been my experience with the lower level leves around skull valley & Bearded Rock. Even with mobs raised to Rank 19 for my 18 LNC, I was getting shitty exp and they were taking a bigger beating than regular mobs. I got much better exp in Shposhae or w/e it's called (the new 15 dungeon a while back). Maybe it gets better as you get up in levels, but that exp was shit and so was the bonus given at the end - especially compared to how fast I was able to train MIN & BOT.


Those diremites though, holy shit. I went from 20 to 25 GLA in about 1.5 hours.

Well so far I've gotten to:

35 Conj
15 Thaum

22 Leather
21 Weaver
20 Alchemist
5 Blacksmith
2 Botanist

Leveling seems to get a lot easier as you get higher up. Parties of 8 who go after raptors (sounds familiar) can chain upwards of 7-8 and net around 800xp/mob that way. It's actually really fun... even for a healer like me.

Yeah, raptor parties are fun until level 44-45. The you go into beastman camps and go crazy. Huge XP, huge chains, and you can even farm cofers that drop nice gear, like sentinel stuff.

And yeah, at that diremite camp when I was only a 20-ish GLA I was getting upwards of 600 EXP per kill, and we were steam rolling them too. That's how I shot up 5 levels in just under 2 hours.

Me and my linkshell do that on Melmond. We get two THMs, one CNH, and me (PGL.) I feel like I can't do a single thing. Two spell casts, and the mob is dead. So, I just stand there as there is literally NOTHING I can do lol. Cept for grab aggro, and links. Except for that... Nothing lol
