Once you open the CCC just go to Info Center > Graphics Software

All the info you need should be there, not to mention you can adjust 3D settings from the same CCC to enable and disable stuff to improve performance/quality.

JK, did you select your card on the tab above? And if you did then maybe the drivers are installed incorrectly or something. Either way, just going by your CCC version alone I can say with 95.3% certainty your drivers are actually older than 11.12 probably 11.10 or 11.9 either way you can update to either 11.12 or 12.1 if you decide to do so.

Now that's very odd, but probably means the driver updates are coming not from AMD but from either Microsoft or your laptop's manufacturer. And WHQL drivers from Microsoft really, really suck btw.


For reference, the latest AMD drivers (12.1) were released in Jan. 25

PS > One of the conflicts may be coming from your drivers being updated while your CCC isn't (hence the older CCC version) which causes all sorts of problems since the CCC is customized for every specific Driver version released. This is why you need to remove the entire install before upgrading drivers.

Looks like I kinda tweaked my settings to work alright as long as I play alone lol. I haven't attempted to do anything with other people yet.

I'll decide if my settings are where I want them after I attempt a few leves. Worse comes to worse, I'll just use my laptop to craft when I'm not near my PC. That'll be good enough for me.

You will still be using an 11.xx CCC with a tweaked 12.1 driver. So be ready to reinstall the whole thing eventually. <_<;

Because I don't ever do anything with graphics drivers. I'm lost. I'm not nearly as tech saavy as some would think.

I gotta admit though, with how screwed up your installation is right now the chances of complications are relatively high. <_<;


See, normally you only have one installer for everything (The Catalyst Install Manager) on the Add/Remove programs section. But, since you had your drivers updated independently there's a chance the manager wont be able to uninstall it, in which case there should be another option to uninstall the graphics driver separately. Which, depending on your update service may or may not be linked to other parts of the system. <_<;

So, yeah, it can happen. Nothing that would actually break your computer or anything but if you are not familiar with managing drivers it can get... messy.
