FFXIV Dreams in Vana'diel server...

So, a lot of people have been talking about playing FFXIV when 2.0 come out, and when it hits the PS3. If you do plan on doing this... I suggest we all join the same server, and havea linkshell called Dreams in Vana'diel.

If we do that, we might actually expand the forum more, and be able to interact with each other on here, and request help from others and so on.

What do you all think of this? I think it would help with making the forum a bit larger, and more known, while having a large Final Fantasy base as well as the casual chat we have on here.

Don't think that will work as an LS name unless you abbreviate it, but I'm all for us being on the same server.

I don't know the limit on how long a name can be for a linkshell, so I just pulled it out.

It could be something like Vana'dreamers of something like that if it doesn't work like that.

I also can't wait for ps3 release, as it runs on my pc, but laggy as can be... Apparently an i3 isn't fast enough to run the game lol

Let me know, too. Playing with an LS that is purely gays and lesbians makes me want to /wrist and something new would be nice.

I don't mind re-rolling (assuming those that have an inactive subscription gets randomly placed on a server) since I didn't even get too far on my first character. I'd be interested to see where you guys are rolling as well; I made one on Trabia a long time ago since my original LS from FFXI went over there...but they have all quit since then.

I have seemed to have gotten the game to work with little to no lag. Will suffice for now, until I upgrade my laptops I3, and the video card. According the the Direct X website, everything else seems good for the game.

Also, I have this weird effect... I have no idea of what it is, or why it does it. Unfortunately... I am unable to take screen shots of the game. Any that I do come out to be black. Basically what it is, is a granulation effect, almost 8-bit like type of effect.

Sounds good. I was planning on getting a PS3 eventually, maybe Black Friday. This will probably be my first PS3 game to go with it.

Eh, the PS3 edition isn't out until early 2013 with the beta starting this summer I think.

it would be better if osme of the PC fold on here establish the server first, then when it comes out on PS3, others will already know what server to join.

I plan on playing it on both PC and PS3, like I did with FFXI and PC/PS2. (well playing now really, but not a lot)

I'd really like to play on both as well, but I don't think my PS3's HDD will tolerate that as I'm running out of space as it is. That and the PS3 is very finnicky when it comes to USB keyboards -_- (at least my older 60 B is).

I don't really have an ideal setup either. What I'd love to do instead is get my PC hooked up to my TV as a secondary outlet but my current PC doesn't allow for that (my GPU supports it but I think it's a problem with my motherboard or something - there's no HDMI slot on the back of my PC) while using my monitor as my primary viewscreen for everything else. I like having my PC and TV separate so I can use both for different things simultaneously, however there are times when i'd love to have the display for games or movies up on my TV instead.

I need some kind of aparatus as well to support a keyboard & mouse as well, that's kind of awkward when sitting on a couch



Back on topic, yeah I think we should try to get some kind of consensus as to what server to pick and all migrate there, and let everyone else follow afterwards.

Not sure if you can do it now, but maybe later with a different video card.... I have an HDMI switch box, but I have it reversed, HDMI in from DTV box, and splits to TV and PC monitor. Then I have my PC plugged into that switch box with HDMI and to the TV with VGA (DVI to VGA cable) This way I can have TV or PC on ether or TV and Monitor. Also have both PC and DTV box sound rigged to go to both PC monitor and TV, so everything is cross connected..... god you should see the wires ;p
