Here's the thing: SE is bad at making jobs. It's the reason MNK and BRD are boring, SMN is a mess, RDM doesn't play like a magic fencer (except when alone,) WAR isn't a good tank, BST couldn't find a party niche to fill and DRG used to be the proud owner of the most impractical 2-hour in the game for a couple of years. I'd like to say they got better - they showed they learned a lot when BLU/COR/PUP and DNC/SCH came out...but now they're going back to the really bad BRD design for XIV, so at most I can say "every now and then they get inspired." Above all, they don't seem to care Haste and Dual Wield are broken. So you theoretical fun, interesting, balanced Ninja will never exist. SE will fall for the same pitfall and make Dual Wield overpowered or not balance Blink/Utsusemi properly. Just you watch.
The old Thief jobs, maybe. XI's Thief job is more interesting than many melee jobs, but suffers from having to work twice as hard to keep up with jobs that can just stand there and win.
You mean not adding NIN how they were gameplay designed in XI.
and NIN would definitely bring a lot more fun options than a THF would.
