I've screwed around with commands all day and I still can't make a "/target <bt>" macro that works with ffxiv lol.

Or at the very least include auto-targeting... it's retarded that I have to manually switch to a new target when engaging multiple enemies. Not only that, even if your weapon is still out and you're face-to-face with the damn mob, you won't actually start auto-attacking until you manually input a command.

Not true. All you need to do is target the mob with your weapon out.

Also you don't want to "be facing a mob and auto attack it" because that is going to be hell when people sleep mobs and you're running around with your axe waking them all up.

All I do is approach a mob with my weapon out, use whatever targeting means I have to, and press Enter (or my controller "Select" button).

Don't see a problem with it.

Confirming that you need to do more than target and lock-on to start attacking.

I don't know if this only happens when trying to kill a second mob. But I also need to activate something to get auto-attack going.

And targeting/keyboard play sucks. They need to include an XI controls option to the configuration.

2 Target Mob
3 "Lock" Mob

Locking isnt the same as locking-on, that simply changes how you move around the mob and where youre looking, Locking is the targetting system acknowledging which mob youre attacking atm.

I may be overlooking something as it might have become an habit so much that I dont notice what im actually doing anymore...
