Traveling to Get Warp Points

Okay this may be a stupid question but I've just recently started to play and I was wondering if there are any limits to chocobos I should be aware of. I'm not sure if rank or physical level matter in renting like on FFXI or if I'm able to catch chocos at the camps as well as the city-states.

There are currently no chocobos. They should be released during the next major update.
