  • How are things?

I ask anyone who is playing FFXIV at this time, I want to try again, I keep the game up to date, and it's icon is right next to FFXI's....but I can not bring myself to log in -.-

I know they have made some changes..... but is the weapon and armor selection still poor? and how is crafting now? Will I still hit a wall at every turn, because I need a lv20 item from another craft?

I love both FFXI and FFXIV, but if I try and get my GF (yes new GF just got her about a week ago ;p) into an online game, I would rather it be FFXIV ^.^

FFXIV has not changed in any meaningful way so all the issues you mentioned are still present. So far there have been cosmetic changes which make the annoying things slightly less annoying but thats it.

I figured, god -.- guess I will stick with my current plan, wait for PS3 release to be announced, and then check said game status.

I only log into fish on occasion. I would play more if I had any friends to play with. The negative side effect of an MMORPG is that without the social aspects the game isn't that fun to play. Now, if an MMORPG plays better solo than as a group, that game is seriously messed up.

There adding more NM's and more gear, which is going to make it more fun for me to play as end game. My LS has about 30 people level 50 in at least one job, and until they create end game stuff all you can really do is just start grinding out on another job. So they're getting there, just not there quite yet.

Well this thread has pretty much answered my questions :\ was going to see if joining back up after a lengthy time out would be a good idea.

I stopped playing about halfway through the second free month. A long time ago. So nothing has really changed then?

Well to be honest I had fun last night. A co..well make that two coworkers told me that they started to play again, so I went ahead and logged in, joined their LS, and went on some leves. I enjoyed it, the search function in the ward works great and the sort function in your inventory is a godsend. I have to get used to things again.....but I think I had more fun doing that little, then I have in FFXI since I came back, that whole Abyssea thing just does not sit right with me -.-
