I've even played non korean MMOS, and I still find them boring.
I haven't yet played a single Korean MMO (free) that held my attention for more than 30 minutes. Most of them are just GW/RO knock offs - cheap imitation at best - and that's being unusually generous. If you could stand to play something for more than a day then you're in a better boat than me.

How does one play this game with send and receive well over 500, heck, over 1,000? I'm wondering if this guy modded his characters, is playing on a private server or if this was from alpha. Peistes outside of LL ... never seen them.
Well you can see the red circle in his Target box which was replaced in early closed beta testing with the current crests suggesting this is at least early closed beta. Also the mini-map is the old beta style too as their is no light area representing the direction of the camera angle which was added in release. If I had to choose I would say this is from Alpha before they re-arranged the mobs in preperation for closed beta.
I am not certain what the box is above the target box though I dont recognise it from closed beta onwards again suggesting this is alpha.
Graphical elements in the UI are righteously sweet but probably destroys anything less than a 900 series i7 + ATI 5870^ ... I can see why they had to continually pare down the UI but at what costs? I have no doubts the PS3 could easily handle these. We'll see...
Every time I see a FFXI screenshot I'm like "ooh, pretty!" and then a voice in my head is like "IT'S A TRAP!"
This isn't a FFXI screenshot. Or thread.
Why does a free MMO have to be boring?
No budget for content development? If it's pay-for-loot, the developers are spending most of their time on the next great paid loot, and otherwise they probably can't afford developers at all.
And way to take the second quote out of context. I was responding to someone posting the ever so informative "but after a while the free MMO gets boring after a bit lol." I was asking for more information for why that particular individual had that opinion. And hey, I got a wishy-washy response. But I'm glad you took the time to come along to be all "Imma drop some knowledge on you." Because in combination with your previous sentence it didn't come off as you being shitty or condescending at all.
For some reason, free to play MMOs are popular. Why? Because they are free? Well, that doesn't make any sense if they reason they are boring is because they are free. So which is it?

Well, not sure about the others, but not every free MMO is boring. Although, I'm not sure how the others are perceiving this ... I merely said that the MMOs (Koreans) are generally ripoffs and "been-there-done-that" which leads to ... boredom after a few hours of game time.
