Stay in Thanalan. For ranks 1-10, work around Camp Bentbranch killing coblyns. After passing rank 10, continue to Camp Drybone. Work around the camp killing coblyns. As you rank up, continue to each successive camp and work around it, killing coblyns. At around rank 25, you may fight in Nanawa Mines, north of Camp Bentbranch, and continue to kill coblyns. For variety, do Battle Leves every 36 hours.

Coblyns also drop ore, on occasion.

Essentially it's just coblyns and either it's because SE threw a bone to grinders or there was an oversight on stats with the monsters (I'm thinking the former)

A lot of players are camping every spot that was indicated on that guide posted above and if you think you can wait till late at night to get a spot, don't get your hopes up. Since every region of the world is represented on every server, there's always going to be someone at these camps 24/7.

(It doesn't matter for R1-R20 because anything is great grinding in that area ... I grinded only moles from 1 to 10 on my LNC and took me about 1 hour tops w/ NO LEVES ... with leves + 1 behest I got from 1 to 10 in just 15 minutes on my alt PGL)
