Oh man.... do I have a lot of mice mats. Once I saw the recipe I devoted a day to farming. I can probably make around 100 of these outfits. My retainer is full. Here's hoping I can turn a monster of a profit.

So, did you make any profit, or ....?
For those of you who don't already know (it's not a secret so don't shoot the messenger) you can get dormouse pelts from a vendor in Gridania. It's the hide/pelt vendor so if you don't know who it is you can Google it. They go for 12K and you can turn them into fur with support and a lot of luck at around R11/12 tanning (recommended R15 tanning) The rest of the stuff I would recommend at least R15 to turn them into outfit (Tailoring and Tanning)
I made the tunic but had gotten the boots and hat from NPC via twinklebox. Now I have received an additional 5 of those boxes since then and have 2 full outfits in addition to the one I already own. By the time this event ends I may have enough mats to make another 10-12 outfits and twinkleboxes redeemed for an additional 3 or 4 outfits. Whoever paid 300K or more for the outfit needs to laugh at themselves or cry in a corner. Seriously, you only needed to wait 24 hours from when the first outfit appeared to have gotten yourself one and probalby zero cost.

I did make a profit actually. So far I made almost a Mil off the suit pieces. Most of it has to do with the fact that Ul'Dah is all RAVENOUS for the suit and too lazy to make them themselves.
It also helps that I happened to score 12 Twinkleboxes off the bell so far. I've been selling the coat for 35k, hat for 25k and boots for 25k. They sell... boy oh boy do they sell.
My suggestion: Put a retainer stocked to the gills with santa gear in the Tanner's Den. Put Bazaar Modeling ON and come back 2 hours later. Done.

I do not doubt this but at least on my server no one seems interested in buying this. Maybe we got smarter people, I don't know. I've seen the outfits drop rock bottom in just 3 days. Tunic went from 300K to 10K in that time period and it's not selling. HAHAHA

Wow... 10k doesnt even cover crafting costs. Assuming the people selling them are getting them all from Twinkleboxes.... that price makes modeate sense. Even still.... 10k doesnt cover the inconvenience cost of me running my ass to the nearest camp to cash them in.

I know and so there's a problem. Just last night I got 3 Twinkleboxes on one bell ring and then 2 each for my other alts. It's getting to the point where it's just raining Twinkleboxes and they may as well just GIVE THE DAMN OUTFITS FOR FREE or a very nominal fee like they do for events in FFXI. /grumble

Look on the bright side ... you cashed in when the getting was good. A lot of players are only now cluing in on this and are still trying to make some cash.
