Is D3 that awesome and worth getting if i havent played any of the other Diablo's? I'm still enjoying FFXIV, to a point, but would like something else if it's all that good.

Yes. Though you should give the others a try anyway, the game does have a written summary of the plot in the manual and has various references to both the games and much more heavily references the Sin War novels as the events of those books play a major role in the overall plot. The story still works on it's own, but those books really do help understand just wtf is going on and why your character is so ridiculously powerful.

Finally went 7/7 on moogle with my Mog Fork last to drop.

My LS also got its first Imperial Operatives Dalmatica and two pieces of Darklight gear which was good news for us. Now I just need to drag them back to AV and get me some shiney darklight gear ^^

Moogle is a fun fight, ifrit is nerve racking due to cracks and system lag... I normally go WHM though, so its not like I'm losing tons of gil on arrows like BRD.

Me and my shell got our first ever 5 chest speed run in Aurum Vale and a shiney Darklight Helm dropped for our DPS. Not exactly ground breaking a million other shells do it every day but it was a big achievement for us.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I've tried To Kill a Raven like 8 times so far. A meteor will sneak through to wipte the aprty in stage three, or the tank will go down in stage 2, and then the party wipes... Oh, and Mal, I think you're smoking crack. Ive looked around and asked people that ahve already beaten it, adn they didnt get an earring. I dont think it exists...

The earring's been datamined since 1.2.3, but last I checked...no one has actually gotten it as a drop; all speculations point to patch a/b/c/etc. ala "hard mode" or some other event.
