Finally done with levelling, all combat, gathering and crafts at R50.

Got GSM to 30 last night ^_^ working on ARM now.

I have to say, both the 30 skills for GSM are boss. I'm getting a crapload of EXP now using Maker's Muse, Manipulation, Meticulous Mind, Sublimation & Brand of (Element). I can't wait to replace Maker's Muse with Great Strides. Assuming an avg progress gain of 20, that's 90 progress from just 3 attempts (though it will much more likely average around 70~80 assuming no failures) which is just crazy.

I really want the ALC and CRP 45 skills too damn it but that's a looooot of grinding and I need to start focusing on my GLA hard so I can finish the story. There's only 1 more update before 2.0 starts testing or w/e.

Grats Mal ... I got GSM to 25 on Saturday night and haven't really logged on since. I'll log on tonight and get started on it again (rest exp and all) At least I got rid of the lower level gear from my inventory. Gonna try to get all crafts to at least 30 by end of this month, with ARM and BSM to 40 (hopefully)

On weeknights, I will never get on before midnight EST (6 hrs difference), because I work during the day. Unless I'm on vacation.

Are you leveling crafts with leves? If no adn you are grinding, can you list what you are grinding on what crafts? I have all crafts 20-28 and wouldnt mind grinding some now with the resting bonus, but I dont know what to grind on for best results.

For CRP, best to grind off logs (Get them from BOT) and then save the lumber for other crafts to make use of it.
For CUL, you can make sand with the fishes (which you can level alongside FSH)
For ALC, you can make crystals from fishes (ditto from above)
For ARM, you can make ingots, plates and rivets and then use them in other crafts (i.e., armor)
For BSM, you can also make ingots here, but I prefer to save leves for this craft (because of potential for rewards of basic materials which saves money when grinding)
For LTW, you need to combat grind for skins or otherwise be prepared to spend loads of gils (and then be forced to vendor) This is a craft that's PITA to level right now (Back in 1.09, for example, it was far easier to grind under the old system, due to how many recipes that would continually grow mats to level for other recipes)
For WVR, it's basically cloth and then making stuff that people actually use (i.e., crafting gear)
For GSM, I go for stuff you can vendor and make decent gil for (but having MIN is a must to keep costs down)

Edit:

Every step of the way, try to craft your gear + tools with the appropriate crafts to get EXP at the peak (i.e., try to craft them sooner than later) Make your own stuff, because not only does it save money, but you also get a good amount of exp in the process.
