Killed the new boss Batraal three times in a row on Sunday and walked away with a bunch of new shinies.

Yep was a shell run and lucky for me every mage had almost every piece of gear already.

Technically I shouldn't have got the legs another mage wanted them but I accidentally selected Take instead of Give.... Sorry Ishi! Promise I will keep on running with you until you get them!

Also last night just after maintenance ended I took part in a Lalafel Variety show (think tarutaru army) in the middle of Uldah, posing, dacing, clapping and cheering all in a long line. It pulled quite a crowd.

Kudos to Blood Lotus on Lindblum for running it :D

Congrats. I've accomplished being unaccomplished. That should count as an accomplishment, right? I log on from time to time, do a few leves, and then go back to playing these games that are still in shrink wrap. Disgaea 2 and then 3 afterwards. Just finally (FINALLY) completed FFXII. Sigh.

Yeah I need to do that at some point.

One thing worth mentioning is that gaining Spirit seems to be related to the amount of SP you get not "level of the monsters VS the level of the gear". So if you take all your old gear with no level or job requirements , switch to a level 1 job and go to the R25 dungeon with an R50 buddy (preferably an AOE DPSer) you can get huge wedges of Spiritbond on the high level gear, which you wouldn't get if you went in as R50. I would expect the same will apply to any other type of power-levelling.

Oh and if anybody is interested, 2 full Toto-Ran runs got my ARC from 1 to 16 and I didn't fire a single arrow.

They must have known about this before they released the patch, so my guess is they decided they just don't care. All the new (read worthwhile) gear is capped at R50 anyway so the explot doesn't work for them, they probably letf it in just to get rid of all the old gear.

The "old" gear are actually still quite good if you go by stats alone and if you use it to bridge the gear gap issues. However, if you PL, then yeah, it's not even worth hassling over.

Well, I wasn't sure, maybe it was some kind of leve or quest where you had NPCs assisting you...
