GLA45 (Well... I got it a few days back but I've been super lazy)

Back to back, and got a few +3 chains and what not to make a HQ Cavalry haub, so I've been farming ghosts to get a velveteen +3 cloth and so far I'm 0/127..... its castle O all over again.

BSM31 and LWR30, and got 30+ buffalo hides and 28 toadskins (thank you leve rewards) and now all I need is to actually sit down and craft, but I've lost almost all of my momentum to play.... haha....

I guess I'll get on to ranking up LWR on thursday.

Grats m8! I wish I was as industrious as you are. I can't seem to focus on any one thing and I've had IRL seemingly spend what time I may have had to play. I find myself logging in to WoW a bit more often, mostly to fix my trainwreck of a UI and find it a tad bit more interesting than fishing in FFXIV. I'll probably play more FFXIV this weekend.

My interest in the game is dwindling since there's nothing to aspire to yet.

But I'm still trying to HQ my R50 gear and so far...

Iron Celata +1
Iron Sabatons +1
Iron plate belt +1
Cavalry Sollerets (black)/regular +1 (keeping both)

Still working on gauntlets, vintage haub, iron plate body and Bull hoplon (can't fix kite, wont get kite).

I've got a crap load of mats to get crafts to 30-35 but I'm not motivated to craft at all, makes me almost envy bots. haha

Ok so I did some testing and found out that HQ gear DOES have enhanced stats. (Go figure)

+1 is around 5%
+2 10%
I've yet to craft a +3 to find out but supposedly its 15%

Though its just the basic stats, stuff like STR and w/e stays the same so meeeh.... for crafters HQs are pointless other than tools, but GLA benefits greatly from added def and so on, and DDs will only need weapons.

I've yet to craft a +3 to find out but supposedly its 15%

I have a hammer in one of my mules. For a while I had made so many +2 hammers and sold it for nearly 90k each and didn't get much +1 and no +3. Then after I made 2 +3s in a short time I stopped making any HQ for a while. Then they patched stuff (This was back around Nov of last year) and now I can't HQ to save my life. It might be the way I was synthing or a combination of abilities I used ... I sold that +3 for like 100k or something ... lol. I don't think this +3 is gonna fetch anything anymore now that they've put Rank 17 tools in.

I lost 3 linkshells in one day with all of them switching to a more hardcore mode saying "You can only have one linkshell and thats us." With a slight modification it became "I can have as many linkshells as I like and not you" and everybody was happy once again.

On a more positive note I got 30 BSM, 30 CRP, 30 TAN, 30 GLD, and 30 WVR all within one week with ARM not far behind at 28.

Yeah I have been switching my brain off and doing the same old routine now for months on end slowly dragging my jobs up through the levels. 33 MIN+BTN and 35 THA+CONhave also happened slowly.

I am in the grey area between the R30 and R40 Leve's now where some R30s don't give much SP even on 4 star. Another 2 levels and the R30s will be left behind and I can look forward to being the only person in the entire world not spamming BW for advancement.

Holy cows I got wrecked by a nasty influenza (and lost like 10-15 lbs in the process) and only managed to log on just yesterday to get some "eggs" for the event. I'll try to get on a bit more to explore the new patch. Anyone had any experience with the Grand Companies of Eorzea?

The currently released content for Grand Companies is laying down the foundation for future content, the Grand Companies themselves have not been released in patch 1.17 and there is no indication they will be release 1.17a.

Each city state has a quest or two where you have to run around speaking to various NPCs and then report back to the start NPC. The back story provided in these quests (you can do all three cities) is good if you like that kind of thing but there is nothing stopping you just pressing X and ignoring it all if you can't be bothered to read it.
