No offense but I disagree 100%
Oh and it seems they will be adding Bard into the game at some point. ^^ It is mentioned a lot in the storyline quests not to mention that Thanacred guy is a bard and so is the Miqote girl.

Just because the the world contains bards it doesn't mean that they're going to be a playable job. It contains prostitutes too but I don't think that's going to be a playable job either.

Yeah but datminers found evidence of bards. From what I can see so far I dont think they found anything relevant to point to a prostitute class.

All told, I'd rather play a Prostitute than a Bard any day.

Not to mention, the levels I achieved on my BRD in XI were almost completely at the urging of my ls, who said that if I didn't wanna play WHM all the time, I could level BRD and play that instead. Some choice, huh?

Oh trust me its a personal thing. You go on about how you dont like BRD, yet you leveled it. You say it was bec you were told to do so which leads me to believe you dont think for yourself. Judging by your picture you have kids which means you must be at least 25-30 years (judging by the age of your kids) so considering you are an adult one would think you would have grown out of the teenage stage of "follow the leader". Then you state you quit FFXI and wouldn't touch FFXIV yet you post on a forum dedicated to both games with an "im so superior" attitude.

Thats the only reason I jumped on your case. I have been apart of these forums for years I just forgot my old username / email to get my old account back.

Ultimately the desperate need for WHMs (which was my favorite job, for a long time, I just got really burned out) and the push toward leveling a job I really didn't want to level is what led me to quit the game. I think they were joking, mostly, but I'll never know for sure.

Most of my BRD levels came from SMN burning anyway. But when I did actually level it, I didn't enjoy it.

Oh well I can see why that is. Playing a class over and over for a long time can get boring. Sorry for my assumptions. Did you give SCH or DNC a try? I thought they were both very fun.

I played SCH for a while but I couldn't stand not having Haste. I felt really bored without any sort of rotation. I soloed DNC to like 22 or something, but by that point, I was starting to get sick of logging in.

I dont mean to get too off topic but, cant you get haste now that the lvl cap is 80? I quit before that tho so idk nor do I remember if whm gets haste at 40 or 41 lol.
You should really try FFXIV tho, a lot has been fixed since release and it looks promising.

When you only have half a glass of water to drink and you are dying of thirst. You drink it anyway regardless of the fact that if you took the time (like 10-15 minutes of time) to look around you would see a whole stream of clean fresh water to drink.
