How is selbina's population? I am on wutai and it seems our population has gone down pretty steeply. Not to mention, all 5 of the people I was playing with up and quit because of lack of patching and new of.

I deleted and remade my toon, and was thinking of going to a better pop server since I was starting over anyway. mmm thoughts?

Our pop is solid. We have a lot of JAP and GER players atm. A sprinkling of FRENCH too. The population of US players (english speaking aside) is kinda low... but what we don't have in gross numbers, we make up in quality. If you were to join Selbina, I'd gladly help you get your feet wet in both crafting and some start-up cash. Ask anyone... I'm kinda desperate for someone from FFXIO to join me on Selbina.

I think FFXIV has a translation system! With that, I'm sure you can make fwends with German, Japanese and French players too, mew! The more the merrier!

Actually, I speak German. That's not an issue really. French and Japanese... not so much.

The auto-translate function does bridge the language barrier a bit... but it's also informal. I like to hold a convorsation with people in which my jokes are not limited to things like the FFXI classic...

Anyway, I just might hop over to selbina. If the populations better I don't really have a reason not to do it! But it will take a bit for me to decide what race/name my new toon will have. Small decisions like this are VERY difficult for me. =]

Also I don't need any cash, but a nooby level conj wand would probably work wonders. My starting class is going to be alch, so I'll need a weapon. Also I noticed you're conj/thm, which is exactly what I am going to roll. So much for cohesion (unless 2x conj is good, who knows!)

Also, I speak to Hawaiians all day. It is not as cool as talking to Aeni on here. I am going to be honest.

X2 Conj is actually pretty great. I duo'd for a while with another guy as a Thaum. Conj/Thaum is a fun combo to play with.

If you choose the DoH classes I don't currently focus on, we can help one-another out a lot.

Suggestions for you: Woodworking, Goldsmithing, Alchemy (I know I use Alch... but you mentioned it... so I included it)

With Leather and Weaver under my belt, I can fix your clothes, with woodworking and goldsmithing, you can fix weapons/jewlery. I don't see any disadvantage.

LoL. Somehow I think I'll live. Even I have to admit that J9 is useful at least 20% of the time.

As for J9, *sigh* fine... but only if she MEWs at every French player we encounter.

Also... special side-note: Stop calling it a toon. You're not playing toon-town... it's a PC or a Character... or a guy... or a dude... or a doo-dad... or even a mini-you. Please don't call it a toon. Pet peeve of mine. The word "toon" is attached to a special set of characteristics in my mind. Namely it's indicitive of things like Disney and Warner Brothers... goofy little carTOONs designed to amuse children and star on sunday morning television programs. The word never really jived with me as far as Final Fantasy is concerned.
