    FINAL FANTASY XIV, The Lodestone

    Too much to post here. Punishing Barbs got nerfed hard... But we all saw this coming. But thank God +1 and +2 crap is gone. Well, sorta gone. Just can't get it from combat.

    WTF the mainsite is down but that link still works...


    The influence of the VIT attribute on HP and the MND attribute on MP has been adjusted.
    I'm smelling a nerf here... unless they're specifically adjusting how it works depending on what type of class you are (Right now the ratios are 1:7 and 1:3)


    Howling Vortex
    Effect duration increased from 30 to 15 seconds.
    Um, what?


    The following adjustments have been made to loot.
    High quality +1 and +2 materials can no longer be obtained through combat. The frequency of drops will remain the same, though all items will now be either normal quality or high quality +3.
    NICE! No more piles of +1/+2 crap, either NQ or full on HQ3 sweet.


    Smallclothes no longer suffer wear, and therefore no longer require repairs.
    THANK YOU! Holy hell I was getting annoyed at constantly repairing my underwear.


    Stack capacity for the following items has been increased from 99 to 999:
    Bronze Arrow, Iron Arrow, Silver Arrow, Fang Arrow, Shell Arrow, White Coral Arrow, Obsidian Arrow, Warped Arrow, Flint Arrow, Blue Coral Arrow, Red Coral Arrow, Bronze Swallowtail Arrow, Iron Swallowtail Arrow.
    EPIC WIN right there for us Archers


    EDIT: SWEET JESUS THANK YOU SE! NUGGETS TAKE SHARDS INSTEAD OF CRYSTALS NOW!!!!! (Argh but not for Iron, fuck)


    An issue where Disciple of Magic arms would not properly drain HP when used in conjunction with the lancer action Speed Surge.
    Huh? Last time I played Speed Surge was LNC only, so what the hell?

              Don't you love it when devs listen to Beta testers and improve the game in the true spirit of beta?

              Maybe the game will be ready for it's March release after all.

                I sure won't! :D Decided not to buy a PS3 just for FFXIV (Well, for LBP2 too) in the end, but now...

                  The speed has improved greatly and they threw out lag which is a good thing. The sort feature on the inventory does not have the level of detail FFXI had but auto-sort is still FTW. And 20 extra slots on both retainer and character ... yumm.

                  Plus, the ability to have your retainer MODEL the stuff he/she is bazaaring is also a nice touch. Anyone played with this feature yet?

                  I'm gonna try going through my character UI & options and check out the various changes. So far, I'm liking the interface changes, but probably won't get to testing combat changes tonight.

                  Edit:

                  Just noticed, music quality has improved tremendously! Nice ... Uematsu's work sounds a lot less muffled and tinny now.

                    Leveling a DoM or DoW is so much better now. Consistent exp/sp 4tw! However, I've been told grouping up in large numbers and gang-banging much higher level mobs doesn't give great exp anymore. (yay!!!!)

                      Don't "yay" at this, SE basically just murdered parties again. Was thumbing through threads on BG and even duoing is shitty now. You're much better off soloing, with the only real exception being high level leves. Straight up grinding mobs as a group is now trash. It's like they disabled the PT bonuses or something. It's just more of the usual "shit broken by the update" and not an actual intended nerfing.

                        According to one of the guys still playing skill gain has been nerfed into the ground as well.

                        This is lol worthy though.

                            ...Except that my skill point gain has doubled and sometimes tripled for DoM and DoW classes. DoH and DoF are the same as they were pre-patch.

                              As I said, SE seems to have only swung the nerf bat at high level party play, and the consensus (for the moment) is it's probably just a glitch/bug that will be fixed soon.

                              Going from 1~31 is a freaking breeze now though by comparison.
