  • Problem with Loading

Mty friend and i started playing at the same time and played together for a week or so before work took over his life and he needed to put the game down for a while. Recently he came back and tried to play again but is experiencing a problem loading the game. I was hoping someone could give me a little advice to pass along to him so he doesnt have to call tech support.

Since he stopped playing, he hasnt even touched his compter at all, let alone altered or changed anything. But now when he clicks the desktop icon to pull the game up, the Username/password/one time password screen shows up as one big white box. No matter how long he waits, nothing changes and it never loads the info boxes for him to input his info.

I suggested that he load the game from the Start menu... same problem.
I suggestd that he reboot the computer... same problem.
I suggested that he uninstall and reinstall the game... same problem.

I'm out of sugegstions. I'm not a wizard. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone else?

    Re: Problem with Loading

This happens on occasion for me and it usually involves a problem with data caching. What that interface is really is nothing more than a simple web browser and that the data is being saved somewhere. The only way I figured out how to get around this is a simple reboot of the computer. You may also want your friend to reboot his network equipment (i.e., router) If he continues to have problems and his client is patched up to date (it is, right?) then he'll need to take his PC (if it's under warranty) back to the vendor that sold it to him. If it's his own build or an off-warranty coverage product, he's going to have to go through the long mile of having to isolate the issue through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.

Make sure he's running as admin or setting compatibility of the client to "Run as Administrator".
