    Very exciting to here.. I'm hoping for an earlier release than March, but SE may just decide to really wait till March so they don't lather, rinse, and repeat with what happened this September.

    Probably the core part of the software is completed but they'll need to integrate all of the new features and content which are being planned to be released for the PC over the next couple of months. Then they'll need to run tests again to see how much of an impact it will make on the PS3.

      Of course.. If you read the snd link, they are done.. Other things have to be done as well, but that's pretty much data anyone will have to download after the updates.

        But to be quite honest, despite the problems, this game was never "unplayable" as many reviewers have harped about. I only wished SE gave us beta testers the means to submit our concerns to their development team during the last two weeks. They pulled out most of the communication tools and then essentially banned a lot of players from posting on their forums and then eventually just decided that no one could post to it (I think I reported the very odd and suspicious manner in which you logged on and then assumed the identity of one of many pre-fabricated accounts that did not belong to you nor anyone else outside of the company)

          In all honestly, even March may be too soon for FFXIV on PS3. There;s just so much vying for gamer's attentions at that time.

            I have a list of demands for SE!

            1: A mouse and keyboard based UI (Coming soon!)
            2: Get rid of half of the menus, I don't need 5 confirmation menus every time I do something.
            3: The ability to add stuff to the crafting menu while standing up, and selecting confirm should THEN make me go into crafting stance.
            4: Something more to work towards. I really don't mind instances, or at least a few dungeons that aren't just part of a cave leading around a zone. (I want to go through a castle and beat things up!)
            5. More flashy spells and abilities. I loved the bubble effect of White magic in FFXI, why does it all look so generic in FFXIV?

            Also, I'm waiting for the PS3 release, or at least this next update, to start playing again. More new players = woot.

              They will be adding NMs and I think new story missions, so that could add more stuff to do.

                What I got from that, was it was so annoying and frustrating, it was unplayable. I always sensed major frustration when I read those articles lol.

                THey need Airships, and Chocobos.. Even these 'horse drawn' carriages they were talking about. Travel is to tedious..

                  ya I think they will plan to add chocobos. They haven't announced anything but I would guess they have Chocobos planned by the time PS3 releases, even if it's like a month after PS3 release, that might be decent too.

                  How long did it take for FFXI to add chocobo license?
