oh mew. If only the PS3 beta starts soon! well ok the beta won't start until next year but ya, consoles really need mmorpgs like FFXIV and DCUO to be fun! Nothing else grabs as much attention these days.

PCs are still heavy and clunky to move around.

You make it seem like PS3 is a portable device. It's not. I think you mean to compare a PSP with a laptop but that's not the direction that this discussion was suppose to be about.

As for the rest of your argument, that's been done and over with, so no use visiting the long dead and decayed horse carcass. Your optimism is quite misaligned with reality and it feels at times that you live in a distorted reality field of your own making and cannot see the real world beyond that field.
