Inventory sort?

I know it's a subject that has come up before, but I was wodnering if anyone has heard anything difinitive about weather or not SE is going to involve an inventory sort funtion within the next update. Of all the things I can think of, this would be by far one of the best changes to date. I need a quick way to sort out all the crap i have that doesnt involve trading with my retainer to do so.

Also... on a related note, is anyone else experiencing a little too much lag when selling crap to a vendor? I've got a top notch vid card and my graphics are near seamless... but every time I talk to a vendor (or any NPC for that matter) I experience a little bit of lag with every button press. When doing simpletasks like selling junk or even discarding crap while I'm in the field, I've noticed that the combined lag makes it a chore that lasts up to 10 minutes to do every time I want to make room.

Does anyone know if dropping my graphics settings would make a difference? I haven't tried, but I fear that it might just have something to do with the innate lag in the system that has yet to be fixed.

This is a network issue and the way it's being processed to the server so you cannot improve this on your end.

Agree with Aeni, this is a server side issue, you can't do anything about it, SE need faster monkeys to carry the IP packets around in their network.

TBA iirc but it was vaguely acknowledged as an issue and that it was generally indicated that a change may be forthcoming either later in November or some time in early December. With Cataclysm bearing down on store shelves and online pre-ordering, I would think SE needs to make these kind of QOL changes now rather than later.

Well SE has a habit of telling you of a few things that will be fixed in the upcoming update and then when it actually comes they throw in a few extra. Hopefully this will be "thrown in" this upcoming update.

Pretty sure they said they have one coming in either the Nov or Dec update.
