Re: what are 2 most expensive war classes in FFXIV?

Quick summary of my 11archer and what I've spent on him "thus far"

(as i write this, most gear hasn't been to awful expensive really, i realize)

-Warped arrow, 2 gil from NPC, probably wen through... 10-15 stacks getting to level 8 so... (insert sound of simple mind doing math) = 12 x 99 x 2gil = 2376gil

-Around skill8 I manned up and bought a maple longbow from the NPC in Grid, for aprox, 29k+? maybe 39k?

-Also around skill8 I switched from warped to bronze arrows which from the npc cost 11gil each... I'm skill11 now so from 8-11 I probably used 8ish stacks of arrows (still have about 4-5 in my inventory, which i'll address here in a second) so...
    8 x 99 x 11 =8712gil

At the rate the economy is moving, I imagine you'll be able to buy that longbow for around 20k ish by the end of next week (pure speculation, basing it mainly on my LS, and my own skill progression, there are folks that can craft the next 2 bows currently, but i am not that hardcore)

So a good figure to think of when bringing archer up to skill 10, would be aprox 45-50k JUST for your weapons.

    Gladiator:

-I bought my Weathered Gladius from the NPC for aprox 1k
    - I didn't get my hands on a shield (square maple skill 5 shield) until around skill 6, and I bought it out of a bazzar for 15k(give or take 5k can't remember). Lately they seem to be around 10k sometimes lower.
    - My skill 9 Bronze dagger cost me 20k, but again i've noticed it being a bit lower as the crafters have skilled up, and the field workers are pulling in more mat's. so you can probaly find it for around 15k possibly 10k
    - skill 9 shield is a bronze hoplon I think and i've seen it going for around 25k-20k
    - Skill 11 shield Round chestnut shield is pushing 20-40k as I'd say this synth is right around the skill that the avg. player base is at right now, most folks either are skilled enough to make this or know someone who can, and know enough folks who can get them the mat's.

    Armor:
Things i've recieved from rank 10 and 20 guild leves that have saved me some cash:
    Red cotton pants
    Red leather boots
    Laun half mask
    Yellow cotton doublet

Things I spent gil on as my Classes increased:
-Sheepskin harness rank 11 i think: I got this for 14k which at the time was a good deal, that's about the standard price now, closer to 10k in gridania
-Smithy gloves rank 7?, grabbed them for a good deal (5k, which now is standard), and because i'm levelying smithy they aren't really fighting armor, more of a crafting piece with +3 control on them
    - Bronze "rocketer" helmet thing, think i spent 10-15k on it for my GLD (price should be lower)
    - Dodo skin boots, around 17k (should be lower now)

At level 27 as a Marauder, here is your shopping list.

      -Bronze Haubergeon - 150,000
      -Iron War Axe - 250,000

      ...

The rest I won't detail, but it comes out to a total of almost 800,000 gils.

Saw a guy bazaarng several haubs for 120K in Uldah, his name was Moko. Of course, I only had 75K at the time.

The prices are not going down because of supply versus demand. It's going down because (1) sellers are frustrated because they cannot reliably sell their wares and there's a 10 slot limit on their retainers and (2) buyers gave up hunting for stuff in the wards and are instead just crafting and biding their time in the hopes that this will force SE to put in an AH.
