Haha, no, I live roughly halfway between Enumclaw and Auburn, WA. We're like smack dab in the middle of a relative dead zone between the two towns as far as some forms of wireless and most forms of cable are concerned.

Also, not in the middle of a national forest reserve, but I am in the middle of several dairy farms.

My friends used to live in Shoreline. I love that area of WA, if I could move anywhere in the US, the Seattle area is probably where I'd go.

Microsoft HQ is in Renton isn't it? If so, that is pretty funny now that I think about it, that's only 40ish minutes away I think.

Now what's REALLY funny is drive 5 minutes towards either Auburn or Enumclaw and you get into the area served by Clearwire and other similar companies. Although I think you have to get a bit closer in to the towns if you want cable.

My friends used to live in Shoreline. I love that area of WA, if I could move anywhere in the US, the Seattle area is probably where I'd go.

Shoreline seemed like a very nice area the few times I've been over there.

I really like most any area in WA that I have been to however. It's not that much of a drive to get to Seattle, Mt. Rainier, or anyplace inbetween. I really love the variety here.

Well i've had my copy of FFXIV now for about 3 days. Overall im really happy with it. Im really having fun. Here are my thoughts.

Pros

1. Graphics are beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing
2. Solo ability. Oh my days, feels so much better to be able to solo and not feel pressurised (a word?) to find a party.
3. Teleport mechanic is awsome
4. Job switching on the go (providing you have the weapon/tool)
5. Storyline seems deep. (only played Ul'dah so far) Thancred is awsome!!!
6. Earning gil is easy. even if prices are inflated.

Cons

1. Machine hog - I have everything on the highest, i get lag in the main cities, camps and during cutscenes but thats all. frequent crashes though
2. No auction house system. seriously.... WTF.
3. Hunting through bazaars is to time consuming.
4. Prices are too random between bazaars e.g bronze harness being sold for 7k on one bazaar but 50k on another.
5. Interface is clunky

Sadly everyone said the same good things the first few days, then it hit them.

But who knows, with luck you may be able to enjoy playing the game while they fix it.

You'll want to feel pressurized while doing space missions though. That's something I learned from playing Dead Space and Mass Effect.

Redmond actually. But everyone gets Renton and Redmond confused. I've been doing theatre for years out in Redmond and my friends still ask if I'll "be in another show out in Renton" ...

I've decided to wait a bit after the version updates to give the game another go. Too busy enjoying tearing my face off trying to get rare mounts on WoW.

Don't worry, you'll get frustrated with that as soon as you see how fast your Anima runs out and how slow it regenerates and there isn't any other way to get around except begging for teleports or walking.

WoW is good casual fun.

2/12 ICC25, I'm a baddie. lol.

Anima regen is 4 points/24 hours. lol. It's so brutal, I've been very anima conscious so I haven't run out yet, but I can't even imagine not having any.

Didn't they increase it to something like 1 point every 4 hours? I literally saw my anima total tick up by 1 point twice while working on leves last night. I ported to Uldah once (100 - 6 = 94) and when I ported back to Limsa a few hours later, I had 96 anima points (About 5 hours elapsed?) In one of the future patches, they will decrease the cost of teleporting to just 1 point I think for Return and 2 points for general porting. Unless it was 1 point for everything (yeah yeah wishful thinking)

Once they implement Chocobos and airships, it shouldn't really be an issue thankfully. But at least we have some sort of teleportation device to use.
