I'm still going to play 14, at least for a while but ... yeah this shit's not cool SE. I don't like having to pay an extra $7.00 (since the monthly is $13.00 and the lowest increment that will cover it is $20) and quite likely end up with left over points that may never get used...

I don't really care for using ClickandBuy or any of that other external crap. NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH POL'S BILLING SYSTEM, APART FROM THE WEIRD MONTHLY TIMING! God damn you SE, they are doing this deliberately so people will spend Crysta on other shit most likely. God, I fucking hate it.

I read the entire terms of service for ClickandBuy and as long as things get paid there are no fees. It's when they pay SE and you dont give them the money to pay for it is when you start seeing fees. Its like PayPal, pretty much.

This pretty much says if you find your account (like Paypal) with your bank account it's free. As long as SE charges the ClickandBuy account and there's monies on it, there is no fee, and since it's fre to deposit monies on your ClickandBuy account via your bank account, then it's free too!

If you have Paypal, go with UltimatePay. It is MUCH easier to use, imo. You don't even have to have an account with UltimatePay. I've outlined how to pay using UltimatePay and other information that I've learned here:

**NOTE** You do NOT have to put Crysta in your account. After you register your copy of FFXIV, 1399 Crysta will be put into your account automatically. So that is your free month and you can worry about setting up payment later and just enjoy playing now.

Wow, SE totally screwed me over on this, I CANT get Crysta because my account is Saudi apparently.

Meh found a loop hole, signed up with Ireland as my country and all the Crysta options are working now and everything seems ok.

I found this on the SE page when clicking on the add Crysta option:

So I cancelled my preorder of the CE (with Amazon...it's sitting my house in the package. I'm supposd to mail it back within 10 days for a refund.). I figure, I'll wait out a week to see what everyone thinks about the different payment methods and what works best and what is the cheapest to go (I budgeted $13/month to play, so anything over $13/month makes FFXIV too expensive for me to play). I am also going to call ClickandBuy and talk to them. One understanding I have is that you can link your bank account to you CnB account and they'll just withdraw the fee SE charges to play...kind of like POL did. If that's the case, there will be no fees, unless for some retard reason there's no money in my bank and they withdraw and I get an overdraft fee. Seems with CnB the only fee is loading money onto the account with your credit card.

UltimatePay does NOT charge you extra if you use Paypal or the Ultimate Game Card (of course you pay taxes on the card because you buy it in a local store).

I know ClickandBuy has been using some strange tactics with people so I'd advise against using them. They do charge additional fees if you use a credit card. UltimatePay may be the same and charge extra if you use a credit card. (Not sure because I didn't use one with that service.)

My advise if you do not want to incur additional fees is to buy an Ultimate Game Card or use Paypal. I've used both via UltimatePay and did not incur any additional fees. For more information/discussion on using Crysta, a thread has been made:
