Hi,

anyone actually used those yet? I been trying find people to buy it off (for 5 bucks XD) anyway, i found some but i can't tell the differences.

Is there a way to verify? or can anyone throw me a step by step how you register for your gloves??

You can't use it yet. You use it when the game is officially released. You tie the code to your account via SE Account Management System. Then you create your character and, I'm assuming, there will be a NPC in game to go redeem it at since thats what they did in FFXI.

Here is the official release:

"The FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code in FINAL FANTASY XIII is available in limited quantities. The code is obtainable by registering a serial code printed on a special MEMBERS Point Card included in the first production run of FINAL FANTASY XIII for PlayStation 3.

There are two uses for the FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code.

1. Receive a FINAL FANTASY XIV secret in-game
After the official start of FINAL FANTASY XIVs service, you will receive an in-game item Asuran Armguards by registering the promotional code at the beginning of FINAL FANTASY XIV.
*FINAL FANTASY XIV will begin its service in 2010. Details on the secret item will be revealed at a later date on SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS and the official FINAL FANTASY XIV website

2. Enter to become a beta tester for FINAL FANTASY XIV for PlayStation 3
The promotional code allows you to apply for a chance to become a beta tester for FINAL FANTASY XIV for PlayStation 3. To apply for the beta test, go to the official beta tester application form and enter the FINAL FANTASY XIV Promotional Code in the applicable field.

Be sure to enter the 20-digit promotional code you received on the SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS site without spaces. Copy and pasting directly from the SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS site will cause the promotional code to get cut off.

*Additional Note*
- The promotional code is required only for the PlayStation 3 beta testing application. The code is not required for the beta testing application for the Windows version of FINAL FANTASY XIV
- Submission of the FINAL FANTASY XIV beta testing application is limited to one per Square Enix ID, either for Windows or PlayStation 3
- The PlayStation 3 version's beta testing will begin after the start of the Windows version's beta testing. The schedule will be announced at a later date
- The promotional code can be used for FINAL FANTASY XIV beta testing entry starting Mar. 9, 2010. The FINAL FANTASY XIV in-game item can be received after the official start of the FINAL FANTASY XIV service by entering this promotional code. You may review the code at any time by logging into SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS and visiting the FINAL FANTASY III Features Page

...you only use that? Geez, I have 10-13 other potential tools... (no, don't think about this too hard, look at your hands, then go find a mirror). Honestly, there's a reason people think we're all asexual shut-ins...
