Hi All

For those that are interested the open beta client is now available for download.

Full Download is 4.7Gb Filename: H2010.08.30.2000
Patch Update from Beta P3 1.2Gb. D2010.08.30.2000

For those not using some kind of third party torrent program I am getting 100<->200 Kbps right now from the official client which is much better than the previous few downloads. Your mileage may vary

Note: People who were already in the Beta just open your client and the update will start automatically. Open Beta begins tomorrow around 9 PM EST I think.

Meh. Just use this one if you're really impatient. But you may be downloading phase 3 and then the patch to OB. Who knows.

Not sure exactly what your issue is, on the European Beta Site there is a post that details that the update is now available. The European Beta Site is where beta and alpha testers are currently reporting issues/leaving feedback on the game it is not a "Joe Public" site.

The latest update is initiated by starting the client. The client is available from the regional beta sites as show in the Downloads page once you login from the menu on the left hand side (assuming all region web-pages have a similar layout).

If you are asking how to get a key and therefor access to the regional beta sites then I have no idea, I never had to apply for the open beta, I was assuming everybody on the Square Enix distribution list would get an e-mail saying "open beta goez" with a link in it and some kind of public site with a big fat download button, but I guess not.

Would be interested to know if anybody who got into open beta actually has access to the beta site.

for those of us that do not indeed have access to this beta site, it is impossible to find an official link to download the open beta client.

i am now dubbing the Open Beta, Closed Beta.

It seems the download link I posted is the same one listed on SE's beta site anyways. However, it's for NA onry.
