I already explained how you can torrent this outside of the installer. Please don't email torrents around and such ... this will cause some insidious individual to take advantage and inject his uber trojans and nab people's account and what have you.

Please note that it's the same for everyone running Vista/7 ... I'm sure you'll find a similar directory for XP but most people around here don't seem to be running that archaic OS anymore...

The main thing is you get that huge ass d/l out of the way and all the updates patched in. Then it's just a simple matter of obtaining the key and possibly another small update. If they ram another gigabyte of updates down our throats ... well then you can get out the pitchforks and go to town.

Critical issue has been addressed and as of now, we are in the final stage of preparation for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test.

Critical issue where the client software for open beta test will not respond on rare occasions has been addressed. As of now, we are in the final stage of preparation for the start of FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test.

New schedule will be released at a later date. Until then, we ask for your patience in this matter.

Its not going to take that long, they already said the problem's been fixed.

Should be up sometime today I'd expect, possibly tomorrow, depends how late they're working.
