    how to play FFXIV on surround (3+ monitor) + 3d ready ?

    i was wondering if it is possible @ this stage. I saw ffxiv have it so i thought it is possible [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq-hDTCtLxk]YouTube - FINAL FANTASY XIV "E3 2010 Live Report 2"[/ame]

    I think it is possible with 3 IZ3D or viewsonic using IZ3D but those glasses seem from nvidia, so i thought is it possible to do it if i add a say 460 below my radeon ?

    Or do i have to get fuzion to crossSLI radeon with nvidia.

    Anyone got any information? It is like a dream come true if i can play FFXIV in super wide screen surrounding on 3d gaming.

    My son played FFXI on multiple monitors so it shouldn't be anymore difficult. The 3D gaming aspect needs to be coded into the game so unless they release a 3D version, you're shit out of luck.

      Your question is unclear, but i'll explain how i believe this is working.

      The 3 monitors breaking the image into 3 parts, horizontally, can be performed multiple ways. ATI offers Eyefinity (ATI Eyefinity Technology), and several other companies offer software-based options for Nvidia users (for example, kegetys.net - SoftTH Software Triplehead). SoftTH is a free option. I'm not sure if it supports ATI cards.

      The 3D effects that they are freaking out about in the video are, most likely, being achieved through the use of Nvidia 3D (NVIDIA 3D Vision). It requires you to use specialized 3D monitors and wear those goofy glasses, though.

      I could see this being mildly entertaining for a while in some games, but I wouldn't want to wear those glasses for the thousands of hours I may end up playing 14. I suppose you could swap the frames out for something more comfortable, though.

        I would rather wear a small monitor visor with build in sound, at least that way I could recline in my recliner with a keyboard to the left of me and my controller in my hand. but honestly I think that would be going way to far, even for me ;p

          Yeah, and it'd end up looking shitty since those things don't support more than like 640x480.

          All there is to gain from this video:

          This should be perfectly possible with XIV, just give things time. There have been 3D glasses out there for a long time that claim to work with software that wasn't specifically designed for 3D, just a matter of driver issues I think.

            I had the asus deluxe before which give me a 3d glasses already they just never update the driverand let nvidia overtakes it which become completely obsoleted.

            I know how it works, but what i want is can i pair a nvidia card with radeon to do that. It would be great and costly for sure. 299$ per 120 mhz monitor x3 + 199 3d vision.

            I would wear it for cinematic scenes and sometime. I used to play Asheron's call in stereoscopic 3D. (back in 1999, lol)
