I want it succeed to, but this can hurt even the casual players. Casual players who wish to play just all day, and just on one character will be pissed once they reach that mark, and be forced to change their character.

casual players arent going to keep FFXIV going for years because even with all the decorations and perks, they will end up quitting in a month or two anyway due to their casual nature. One minute they are playing golf, then next minute they start taking
swimming lessons.

and casuals are the very people who complain about fees.

PROTIP: They didn't get rid of the system because it was good. All games that have had or thought about having programs like this in place have always scrapped it. And do you know why? Because it's retarded.

When I'm paying for a dinette set for 4 at Pottery Barn, I don't want the fucking CEO thrusting a wicker TV stand at me and telling me I have to use it before I can use my dinette set. Fuck that shit.

And apparently this was in the game all the time, but nobody noticed it because the game wasn't up and running long enough. And then they broke the group XP penalty, which made people get XP faster than normal.

You really don't know the definition of a casual gamer do you? talk about putting your foot in your mouth again.

I'm a casual gamer, and honestly, I dont see myself reaching the threshold amount that they stated for every week. That and I like to play multiple classes anyways to get a feel for them all. All in all, if you don't like it, go play another game and quit bitchin about it I say.

It's not an 8 hour (plus 7 for the diminished EXP) its an EXP number set by SE

at any time your not leveling that class, be it your leveling another class or if your just standing there, or even logged out. The Surplus EXP is resetting itself.

Between not being logged in and leveling other classes, there is no way a "normal" player would be effected by this system. The only ones it will really effect are the ones trying to rush through the game.

I like to grind and I don't rush to endgame. It took me years to get to 75 in FFXI. So 2 years is rushing to you huh? Riiiiiight.

...In all seriousness, this system does seem like a c*ckblock move by SE. While we have known for a long time they wanted XIV to be for casuals and XI for hardcore, there's no reason for them to lock out the hardcore from XIV like they're doing. Granted, I still do feel, in the end, it helps the elitists even more (as I mentioned in the other thread.) Luckily, the system isn't as bad as it was made out to be before, I think...

if it took you that long to get to 75, then you will not have a problem with surplus EXP, again......

And you would know this because?? Oh, ya, thats right you seem to know everything about everyones playing habits. We shouldn't play for extended periods of time and we shouldn't rush to level up even if its something we enjoy. We should play by Kailea's playbook. And yes I will have an issue with it. Just because I didn't get to 75 for a couple years doesn't mean I didn't grind for long periods of time. See, you are just putting everyone in a big box thats upset about this fatigue issue.
