          Wow, that's pretty terrible. o.o

Now I'm even more glad I'm taking to PS3. Hell, might end up waiting past the 6 month if things get bad.

            I found this part funny.......

"As of now the entire FFXIV beta community is in a uproar. It's like a FF-Apocalypse before the game has even been released. I've never seen a community in my life as disgruntled and surprisingly in complete agreement with each other. the FFXIV official beta forums are pretty much just a Square Enix bashing wonderland at the moment and the feedback forums and filled with nothing but anger and resentment for Square Enix and their attitude. "

not all of us are in an uproar.....

and no the feedback forums are not filled with anger and resentment......

this guy is a moron and blowing things WAY out of proportion...... that and SE has even said there are things that still are not implemented in the game.

Yeah, that seemed a little over-dramatic, but the gist of his blog brought some issues to light. It didn't turn me away from the game, but it made me a bit glad that things will probably improve a lot between Sept and March. Looking at what the JP players had to go through at the start of FFXI, I'm glad NA had to wait for that.... what a clusterfuck.

yeah, I mean there are problems, but nothing that I have not seen in betas before this one, and there is even more stuff to be implemented into retail, let alone Open beta, so alot of the "doomsayers" just sound silly to me right now.

Granted, the limit on EXP seems a little strange. We used to grind for six hours at a time, and now we're limited to one or two? It's not like I have more than a few hours anymore, but it's still strange.

Why would they limit the time you can grind for? That just seems silly to me.

                    Edit:

After I read the thing about the exp being gimped after a while, it is nice for those who don't have a lot of time to play, but why limit those that can play all day long, or only want to level up one class. Why not use the "surplus" exp to be spent in other classes? So you can level up your archer, and while doing that with your "surplus" exp, why not let your pugilist gain the extra exp?

Just a quick thought though... How much is your exp cut by when you do surplus?

Yup, restricting one player's progress for the sake of another player seems insane to me. If player A wants to spend all day playing, why shouldn't they be able to? How does that take away from player B's enjoyment? They will fix this- no doubt in my mind. They will lose sales over something this stupid.

some testers forget that this is a new idea of this type, so there will be adjustments, and even as of now, its not as bad as some are making it out to be.

The people complaining are the ones that went from level 1 to level 20 in a day -.- and then could not level further due to this system kicking in.

I am all for letting people level as long as they want, but to be honest MMORPG addiction is getting bad in some places and since the people themselves don't want to solve the problem, the companies have to do it for them.

And.... What about those who only have about a day to play a week, like people who spend all week with their family/school/work and what not. Why restrict some one who just has one day to play to level only so many and gain only so much exp?

Well I tried reading it but my eyes got tired of reading all the QQ.

That said he does have some valid points and I am concerned that if they aren't addressed with vigor it will negatively impact the game sales and possibly even viability to sustain the servers. Some of their ideas still are questionable if they bring any benefit to the paying customer or not, on a personal note I find many of them nonsensical and believe them to be a step backwards in terms of playability instead of a step forward in terms of innovation.

level your melee class, then work on gathering some, then crank out a few items....... its not that hard to change it up some.
