Okay I got most of that but I can't enable it...


When I go to click enable it says "You can not use the Router IP, network or broadcast address."

EDIT: What the fuck. I ran ipconfig and got this for my IP Address;

phub.net.cable.rogers.com



^ WTF? I can't exactly type that into my router to enable for port forwarding... ugh, fuck you Rogers Cable.

That's not gonna help. =] He needs the address that the router assigns it so he can forward the ports to that specific computer. Which is the address he found.

Okay so I've fixed the router settings and opened the right ports, but it's still downloading at an abysmal rate.


What the hell? I've read posts over at ZAM (because BG are so fucking smug it's disgusting) of people with everything open and good connections downloading the update for days at a time. This is just bullshit...

Did you give it some time to find connections? It can take a few minutes to find remote connections to pull from. I've never had a problem with the ports forwarded, I get 500-700KB during download.

I have over 20 remote and 30 local connections, but it won't freaking go...

you might be one of the "few" there are some people who have been trying to download the client since Beta 1, and still dont have it.

Even though SE said they dont want people doing it, you can access the torrent files that the updater is using, and "manualy" download them with a bit torrent program, from what I hear its a lot faster that way as well.

I would not normally recommend doing something like this, but if its the only way you will be able to download it then go for it.

Do this. Just open the torrent files and download it that way. Works wonders.

SE better fix this come retail. So then, does anyone have the update torrent link? I saw it earlier in a thread at ZAM I think but I forget what thread...
