The next version of the Benchmark will come out sometime between Phase 3 and Open. Also ATI's South Islands lineup is going to be announced in October (possibly earlier) with some reference cards being distributed for reviews. The first set of the 6000 series cards will come out in November (possibly earlier) The bigger part of this news is that ATI also said they plan to "slash" prices on their GPUs and it should start within a few weeks.

This makes things interesting for those looking to upgrade. It will definitely pressure Nvidia to follow suit with price drops of their own and having to come out with a counter release of the rest of their Fermi lineup. So I'd advise many of you to try to hold off for at least another 3 weeks or so right up to the 3rd week of September to see what kinds of promotions and deals will be run. You may even see GTX 470 and HD 5850 drop below $250...

LAME! It ends Wednesday?! I just got my key like 2~3 days ago... and there's maint tomorrow to boot (hopefully fix that annoying as hell Prospect macro glitch)


I just got rank 3 conjurer physical level 11 too (mining is level 8 or 9)
