He probably asked here because the beta/alpha forums are loaded with a bunch of elitist pricks and trolls. Even I wouldn't ask a simple question there if my life depended on it.

And morons at that... I've seen some of their posts put up at BG... dear lord... It just makes all the more pissed off that I didn't get into the Beta - . -

Kailea, there are people not in beta talking about it just to annoy you.

That is more or less true actually :p I'm not the one having the problem and I'm not the one that was lucky enough to get into beta. I'm just trying to help someone out and thought going to the forums I've been on for years could be of some help. Apparently not.

Think outside of the box sometimes instead of assessing someone's situation right away!

Edit: Rereading my original post, it does look like it's my problem. Sorry about that, but I've heard the beta forums are filled with jerks anyways :p

A lot of people are having this very same problem lately and when you type "unable to detect directx device FFXIV" your forum pops up in the search list (so everybody gets to enjoy the smart conversation that this Kailea person is having with the rest of you and lose a few IQ points in the process, thank you Kailea, I feel lighter!).
