Or. Maybe it's a backwards euphemism. As in, the forge is literal, but the word "manhood" is being used in place of something like "sword." Which would pretty much be inverting what S-E does normally.

Since you can equip underwear now maybe you don't need a patch. Just unequip.

Yep can't take em off but I came across people with the same tunic as mine but with chain mail underneath so I guess you can equip more than just different color underwear. (unless it comes with the shirt but I can't /check to make sure...)

Maybe a swimsuit in the future too?

Edit: asked a few people and they said that the shirt has the chainmail attached to it and its not an undershirt, I also confirmed that Necklaces and bracelets are visible when you wear them. (didn't try rings and earring but I will once I gather up enough money (3k a pop for god's sake!)

That's just awesome! (about the accessories). It makes the game more immersible, now we can actually see the necklaces this time around, and it actually shows that you are wearing it rather it just being a piece of data in the character menu.
