    <.< >.>

    It says it's an "Area of Expertise" that implies specialization in it. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see other crafts take other specialized routes (sub classes), like an Apothecary (Alchemist who specializes specifically in potions/meds)

      Re: The 18 Disciplines of Final Fantasy XIV

      Right from the site. It used to actually say Gunsmith, but there's no denying it exists as the Armorer is also a sub-division of blacksmithing that gained it's own guild. Pretty sure it was also revealed in a Famitsu article a while back.
      You mean like how you said Ridely Scott directed all of the Predator films, except he actually didn't have any involvement with them whatsoever?

      Sorry, but the FFXIV site never said anything about "gunsmith," nor has Famitsu. This is one of those things you got in your head and then started believe it.

            I think I'll roll Gladiator and Armorer/blacksmith to keep my crap in a usable condition.

              Yes it did you twit, here's the quote from before they fixed the site; (thank you ZAM)

              "Countless different branches of smithing, including gunsmithing, have emerged in recent years, further broadening the scope of this ancient trade."

              I knew I wasn't imagining it. Now, they could have changed the wording for any number of reasons but there was mention of Gunsmithing.

                Musketeer is confirmed anyway. It's obvious there will be a gun class before they even somehow bring Summoners into this somehow, mew.

                      And you took "gunsmithing" to mean "gunsmith" - kind of like how people took knights riding chocobos to be confirmation of the non-existent "chocobo knight" class of FFXI.

                      Which, again, means you saw something that wasn't there. You saw a word and misinterpreted it.

                            No, they've been confirmed. They're mentioned in the Limsa Lominsa section of the site, and they were found in the .dats over at BG along with several other classes;
