BTW, if anyone feels like DL'ing this one, I haven't had much luck so far...

A lot of the comments are like "The battles suck and look too slow."

I think they are A LOT better than FFXI, and better than WoW's combat system. It's no longer start attacking then AFK type of thing, or go surf the web. Now you actually have to be there in order to finish the fight.

Yea, what I was seeing was evades if you attacked head on, and criticals if you attacked flank or from the rear. It looks much more interactive.
