Hell lets break some more rules then, this isn't an official anything site.

Break Windows 7 Activation, Install Windows 7 with out all that annoying paying MS for it.

ninja mod edit: (lets not circumvent FFXIO's own rules for reasons that are unrelated, actually lets not do it at all. for the children - Balfree)

Perhaps I could find some links for FFXI bots while I'm at it.

oh yeah, lol, most likely. To be honest though, its not like there is anything to really brag about -.-

the alpha was....well an alpha, and beta will be better, but pretty much the same old dance, we wont even get to keep anything so *shrugs*

To be honest though, its not like there is anything to really brag about -.-

I'm surprised nobody started a "Sign if you got in on the beta/alpha" thread. , but then too I guess this isn't gamefaqs.

I was simply letting people who may not have had access to the Beta forums or to their email that morning (as it was emailed to me only a moment or two earlier) that the beta would be available for download starting today…

Its called – Trying to be helpful. Not everyone has all day to troll the net like you apparently do.

Hell- Even the last time I tried to be useful (offering up my ventrilo server for alpha players to commune in safe password protected channels once it was verified they were alpha players by messaging me in game) you crapped on that too.

Instead of picking fights about stuff like this why don’t you offer up something? Hrm?

Posting links to warez or illegal software download, it is not in this forum's nature.

And if you're thinking about saying "but it happened before" and providing links and quotations as evidence, stop. What happened before is irrelevant to what's happening now.

Forum rules; link at the bottom of damn near every page.

This would fall into the 'violating the law' bit. Posting a date related to Beta isn't violating a law; maybe a contract at worst.

Copyright law? Breach of contract (EULA)? The two laws that technically posting the unreleased information about FFXIV also break.

But ya, it's ok, TGM didn't get into the beta so we're just going to let it slide.

International copyright law, yes. Saying "The FFXIV beta client is available for download starting July 2nd" isn't a copyright infringement. It's simply stating a fact. It's no more copyright infringement than any of dozens of gaming publications, or for that matter the broader entertainment industry.
