FFXIV Beta Client Availability

As per an email I just received:

The client will be available for download beginning on Friday, July 2nd at 1:00 AM PDT. Times for upcoming beta test windows were not disclosed.

Just in case some of you Beta peeps missed the email! =D

my point still stands, we have beta forums for this crap, hell its on the main page of the fucking place when you log in -.- its something that does not need to be posted at all, let alone outside the forums.

I love these forums, but the fact that nothing ever gets done about this kind of crap is annoying.

Because either the site takes the position that confidential or otherwise questionable information has no place here or takes the position that no one cares what is posted here.

Sometimes questionable material is allowed, sometimes it isn't.

Hell you closed (if not outright destroyed) a thread about downloading Windows 7. Since this is the same level of questionable material, it would be assumed that you would also at least close, if not destroy the thread.

I can't speak for Ping, since its his site, but we are not an official fansite anymore. If we were an official website then I could see a concern. Now if SE contacted us and asked us to take information down, we'd certainly do that. We are not allowing anyone to distribute the client or give us the location as to where to d/l the client because if that were attempted, we most certainly would "destroy the thread".

The alpha leak didn't hurt anybody, and it in fact encouraged SE to use a faster battle system (and make a super kawaii
mission impossible video too!)

beta leaks will be welcome media while waiting, especially for PS3 owners who were betrayed by SE's false promises about both platforms releasing together. It's only fair.

what are you talking about..... Se changed the battle system from feeback that the testers game, not because it was leaked -.-

and my whole point is why is Aedan sharing this info, there is no need to, nor should it be done.
