Well if you view the contents of the CE edition on the official website, it makes no reference to a tumbler for the NA version but does for the EU. I think thats pretty much a confirmation.

Eh.. /shrug, would rather still have the tumbler or the map lol. But I guess a certificate showing you were one of the first to play this game is sort of interesting. Either way am going to constantly be on the edge of my seat until this releases.

Typo, maybe? Or is this some silly little fake certificate that only a true nerd would hang up on the wall in their room? Now, if it's some kind of in-game thing that'd be cool but... I don't need more useless crap taking up space. Come to think of it, LOL @ the journal too. Might be handy very early on, but it won't be long before the XIV wiki is established and everyone has access to it like with XI, thus making the journal quite pointless.

You underestimate the value it will have to those with Picard syndrome. And I don't necessarily mean practical value, either.

The game is on top but maps and a tumbler (I honestly don't know what a tumbler is /shame ) aren't that important but I'll totally frame that map lol and I'm sure the token will get irritating after a while and I'll disable it.

The "play early!" stuff wont cut it for me because I'm importing the game and it'll be over by the time it reaches me. Amazon UK won't ship games to the middle east... bleh, so I gotta ship it to my cousin in London and he'll EMS it to me, so 2 days for him to get to it, 4 days EMS then 2 days to convince Saudi customs that the naked fairy on the box =/= porn then I'll have it, beats waiting 2 months for it to be released here.

I believe the tumbler is a travel coffee mug. The silver top seems to have a small hole for drinking through.

A Tumbler is usually a type of drinking glass, though the one in FFXIV seems to be metal with a lid. Unless that's just a container for it and the actual glass is inside.
