So what? We don't NEED male mithras. Is the world gonna end if they don't put them in? Will we all die if they don't? Will your grandmother care if they do or don't?

Would the world end if they did add them? No? Then your point is moot.

Adding the other genders or even new races would do nothing more, and nothing less, then give players of the game more options. It would fill out the world with even more diversity and differences and allow players the choice to have a better chance to create a character they would enjoy that much more. It would help those people who do actively want those new genders and those new races to have better immersion into the game world and form a better connection with the avatar they created to make their playing experience that much more enjoyable.

In the end, it can be broken down like this:

Cons of adding new genders/races - Slightly more work on SE's part, but not really all that much work past the initial design and animation stages. But with this game being a brand new MMO, it really wouldn't be that much work at all.

Pros of adding new genders/races - More choices for players to choose from, more options to make a unique character, more variety and diversity in the game world itself, and it would show that SE does not only listen to it's playerbase, but actively tries to please them which would help spread more positivity behind to the people making this game.

And just for the record, whether or not they do add more races/genders in this game, I'm still going to end up being a Hume male Midlander so it's not really something that would affect me personally. Well, other then cutting down on the instances of Manthras in the game.
