Exactly. If you don't like 3D (and honestly, I don't see myself getting a 3D TV for a long time because I don't care THAT much), that's you, but acting like it's just some little fad and people are going to go back to their old black and white sets is pretty silly.

I do agree that it all feels like just another fad for the time being (albeit a cool one). Would I blow the money on it at this point in time? Hell no. But this feels like the next "HDTV" wave or whatever.

Until they can make it so you don't have to wear the glasses while using the tv, 3D won't be mainstream. Niche, yes.

I feel the same way. I hate 3D glasses, and I hate watching things with them on. Fix that, and I'll be all about it. In the meantime, 2D works just fine, thanks.

As far as I have read, this technology already exists in some extent.
It's just not as far developed as it is in Star Trek, but scientists are definitly working on this.
It's only a matter of years before this becomes available.

But as far as this 50 year old 'new' 3d technology goes for my gaming experience, it's a gimick.
Nothing more.
